Coaches vs Cancer gameAlso, good for Gerry for wearing a suit!
I liked the suits better. It was a show. Now it's like watching gym class. Also, good for Gerry for wearing a suit!
I thought so at first, too, but I think the sleeves were just getting bunched up.Gerry needs longer sleeves on his jacket

I agree with you. I know there's not necessarily a rational reason for coaches to wear suits and obviously casual clothing is more comfortable, but it makes the games and sport overall feel more serious when coaches dress up.I liked the suits better. It was a show. Now it's like watching gym class.

It's kind of like working from home during Covid. Once you get a taste of it there's no going back.
I believe the suits were for Coaches Fighting Cancer night. suits and sneakers.I thought the suits were overkill tbh. They’re coaching teenagers playing basketball, not at a royal wedding.
I think a nice pair of khaki (or khaki-like pants), clean sneakers, and a simple pullover/quarter zip w/ school name/logo is way to go.
Of course coaches should wear suits. We used to be a society.
Pitino and Jay Wright were right up there!Agreed.
Coaches should wear suits - it adds class to the event.
Nobody did it better than Pat Riley - and it was great.
Being the head coach of a men’s college basketball team is different than you or I schlepping into work.I’d say that’s a bit over done. Reminds me of the stuff about being told to wear a suit with a 2.5 hour commute vs business casual or recent comments of wearing business casual every time one flies. There is a fair compromise to be had here.

There’s no need for a compromise. They can wear athleisure the other 22 hours a day. But put on a nice suit for the game.
Some of these guys dress like suburban Dads getting breakfast at Dunkies on a Saturday morning. It’s ridiculous. Just wait until one wears Tevas.
