Since we seem to be dredging up bad takes from Middle Tennessee loss, I'd like to add my own.

I angrily said to my wife that the team is never going to improve, the line will never get any better, the defense will fall apart, blah blah blah. My main point was asking why I invest so much energy and love into a program that will never pay off.

Five games later, I've been basking in glory for 36 hours. People who are non-Syracuse fans are congratulating me. I hugged complete strangers at a bar in NYC because our team pulled off a huge upset. I starting crying when I watched the replay of the last drive.

And as for the team? They ARE improving. The offense line is slowly nudging forward, the defense is much, the running game is actually occasionally working. Dungey is getting smarter, Ish is playing like a man possessed, Babers' game management is improving.

More talent and more learning means this team will only get better, and the sky is honestly the limit.

LGO.

We only use Internet forums to voice irrational thoughts and make in-the-moment heated declarations supported by immovable stubbornness.

So what are you doing breaking tradition by being, you know,...human?

I don't mind getting beat...you tip your cap and they were better that day but that MTS game, SU lost that game. A lot of us were disappointed in a lot of facets of that game along with the Shafer thing. Guess the players aren't the only ones to learn a lesson from that day, eh?
