My own history with SU Elite Eights

Over the last 30+ years or so I have had a lot of great roadtrips following the 'Cuse (not even counting the obvious Final Four trips). So here were trips to the Regional Finals (or "non-trips")...

Outcome
1987 UNC (Meadowlands) Attended SU won
1989 Illinois (Minneapolis) Did not attend SU LOST !
1996 Kansas (Denver) Attended SU won
2003 Oklahoma (Albany) Attended SU won

So an interesting trend is developing here. But no worries folks, for the sake of the team, I am foregoing all the fun at the Pourhouse with my NYC peeps tonight and am hopping on a bus to Beantown in a few hours!
