... whenever that is. I've checked the internet and can find no mention of it. It occurs to me that it might have been last week. When both the Boeheim and Babers shows are on the Boeheim Show is typically Wednesday Night. if there is a show on tonight, I'll ask make the comments below. I have no idea at this point if they will be doing it at Delmonico's or at the Marriott, as the Babers show has been done.

Jim Boeheim’s radio show is on Thursdays from 7-8 or 9PM on ESPN Radio in Syracuse, which is AM1200 or FM 97.7 on the dial. The show originates from Delmonico’s Italian Steakhouse on Erie Boulevard in Syracuse. The first hour, hosted by Matt Park, the Voice of the Orange, is on their general network. The second hour, which begins with the conference season, is hosted by Gomez, a local radio personality.

You can call into the show locally at 315-424-8599 or nationally at 1-888-746-2873. For Gomez’s portion, use 315-424-8599. Or you can submit questions from this page:
http://cuse.com/sb_output.aspx?form=4
Or on Twitter at mattpark1 or “askBoeheim”.

The show can be heard in Syracuse on FM 99.5. It’s sometime simulcast on AM 1200 or FM 97.7. You can also get it on: WGVA

I will be posting my rough transcript the night of the broadcast focusing on my questions, the team and their last and next games and then a second post the next day on other things that were discussed.

MY QUESTIONS/COMMENTS

"Coach, I’d just like to make a couple of comments on subjects you have brought up:

- Two years ago people said that we imposed the post season ban because ti was obvious that that team, which finished 18-13, would not have had any post-season success. You disagreed, saying that we would never dismiss a team’s prospects like that. Last year we were 19-13 when selected for the NCAA tournament and they went to the Final Four. As I’ve often said, the joy of being a Syracuse fan is that we have a good team every year, with a chance for something great to happen. We’ll never know what the 2015 team might have accomplished in the post season but we can’t assume it would have been nothing.

- You’ve stated that this year’s team has the potential for greatness but that no one can say that it’s a “Final Four team” because no one can know that at this point. We’ve had six Final Four teams and none of them were supposed to be there – their highest seed was #2, meaning that we were expected to lose in the Elite 8. The highest rank in the final poll any of our Final Four teams have had was #10. We’ve had ten teams that were ranked higher than that, including five that reached a #1 ranking and never made the Final Four. The post season is a spin on the roulette wheel , which makes it important for us to appreciate all the accomplishments of each of our teams."

SWC, just a suggestion--maybe you'd like to craft a question or two asking about last night's game, and his impressions about how the players
performed.

I don't see anything close to a "question" in any of that above.

I don't see any question marks either.

Thread appears to be mis-labeled. Instead, how about "Some arguments I'd like to pick with Boeheim"

The section reads "MY QUESTIONS/COMMENTS" I guess I should have used the word "comments" in the thread title. he was already asked about last night's rather meaningless game in the press conference. I'd been waiting to make the first point since last season and the second one refers to comments he made in his media day press conference and last night. In both cases I am agreeing with him, not disagreeing with him.

My question:

"Coach, back on a snowy late February night in my senior year of 1973 I trekked out Comstock Ave. to Manley to watch us take on Rutgers. As I settled into my normal seat in the Manley Zoo, I realized a Rutgers fan had inadvertently found his way into hostile territory and was standing in front of me. As warm ups went on, he started shouting trash talk at our players. In response, I calmly placed a partly opened packet of mustard on his seat and when he sat down he was none too happy. (this is all true). That is what we in the Zoo referred to as "sportsmanship."

Suddenly the sounds of "But it's Alright" by J. J. Jackson filled the air and Dennis Duval floated to the middle of the lane to do his pregame Globetrotters routine. Near the end, he went between his legs and whipped a pass behind his back to Bobby Dooms. The ball bounced off Dooms' elbow and rolled out of bounds where it was retrieved by a ball boy. We went on to beat the Scarlet Knights that night.

So with that, my question is "what is the deal with our football uniforms? Blue? Gray? Are you kidding me?"

Dick, where you have been hiding? Haven't seen you post in a LONG time. Hope you are back again.

"Coach, a friend of mine said he believes the NCAA to be the most incompetent and inept governing body in world history. Not just sports but in all of society. I tried to make an argument against it but couldn't think up a good example. Can you think of any off the top of your head, I know your a history buff."

"jimbo...if you were to put in an order for wings tonite what type of sauce would prefer. hot, mild or perhaps something exotic like mango habanero ?"

SWC is a smart guy and a knowledgeable fan.

But we shouldn't squander these Q&A sessions with JB by converting them into opportunities to voice our own opinions. There are too many other places to do that like this forum. Maybe these statements could be reformatted to "Here's what I think" and "What do you, Jim, think on that topic?"

We don't know how many of these more of these opportunities we are going to have left. And JB is at a point in his career where he wants to "tell it like it is" and he is "untouchable".

From what I have seen in the past couple of years is that shockingly he will actually answer a good question and not dish out reams of "coach speak".

I'm referring to two issues he has talked about with the candor you describe. I think they are more interesting than breaking down last night's exhibition game all over again.

If you have a question you would prefer to ask him, you obviously have the means to do so.

I was at that game, sitting court side, foul line extened across from the visitor's bench with my J-D crew. I believe that Phil Sellers and Mike Dabney played for Rutgers, but Tom Young and his Crying Towel had not yet been hired.

Good to see you post, Dick!

This put a smile on my face.

Come on over to the football board again Dick. It's a happier place now. We'll get you a cheat sheet on who to ignore. Present company excluded (I hope).

Note: Still avoid gameday threads.

At any rate, there is no show tonight. I've got baseball on AM 1200 and FM 97.7 and rock music on 99.5. So I assume the first show will be next Wednesday after the LeMoyne exhibition and before the official opener vs. Colgate.

"coach... will you open with man D against Lemoyne ? and a follow up if i may...why is this question even funny?"

Welcome back, Dick. I was at that game and in the Zoo.
