Coach Babers’s Show will be at the new Marriott Syracuse, (the former Hotel Syracuse). The first show will be Wednesday night at 7PM because the game is Friday, (the show will normally be two days before the next game). They will be in Shaughnessy’s Irish Pub, which can be accessed from the street.

This article contains the schedule:

You can also listen to the show live each week on the Syracuse IMG Sports Network and Cuse.com. Wednesday's show will be on 99.1 FM and 97.7 FM, as well. The show will regularly air on 99.5FM (Syracuse) 99.1 FM (Utica) and 1200 AM.”
You can also get it on: http://tunein.com/radio/WGVA-1240-s29191/

There hasn’t been any change in the phone numbers, which last year were 315-424-8599 (local) or 1-888-746-2873. You can call to ask questions or submit them via Twitter at: #AskDino hashtag on Twitter

Or through Cuse.com, (the SU Athletic website):
Syracuse University Athletics

You can (or could last year, anyway), listen to a podcast of the show, probably the next day, at: http://tunein.com/search/?query=babers

I’ve been asked to continue doing the summaries, even by people who listen to the podcasts. I may focus on the major points, rather than trying to record everything.

My Question(s)

“Congratulations, coach on a historically great win. Younger fans now have a game they can remember that ranked with the Nebraska game, the Penn State game, the West Virginia game, the Florida game, etc. This compares most to the Nebraska game. In 1983 we’d traveled to Lincoln and lost 7-63, just as we lost 0-54 at Clemson last year. Then they came here and we took it to them from the kickoff and sustained the effort for four quarters, making the plays to win the game at the end. It was the same thing against the Tigers Saturday. In 1984 we then had a three game road trip against Florida, West Virginia and Penn State and we lost all three decisively. The impact of the Nebraska game seemed to dissipate and our real breakthrough didn’t come for another three years. Now we have to go on the road to face Miami and Florida State. What can be done to keep the ball from rolling back down the hill this time?”

The last thing we want to do is lose out and become the dreaded snowball that caught fire we used to hear about from Greggers.

I wonder how much more crowded it'll be along with how many more phone calls? I'm hoping they have some SWC quality calls and not a lot of the "Do you think you'll win the rest of your games?" type of questions.

Or Dougie's team after we curb-stomped Geno and WVU. Sigh, that sucked.

Went from "Hey! We should be getting votes for Top 25! Which NY's Day bowl are we playing in?"
to "um, uh, never mind..." in the blink of an eye.

That was tough, wasn't the team really beat up and due to the extreme lack of depth it just went sour?

Actually, that is kind of what i asked.

The break through actually came the following year with the addition of the pro-option and the development of Donnie McPherson.

The Orange offense blossomed and we went to our first bowl game in six years.

For various reasons we suffered a drop off in 1986 but 1985 was a crucial year in my opinion and the real break through for Coach Mac's program.

Marrone's difficulty in 2011 stemmed from our woeful lack of depth.

We just ran out of steam.

McPherson couldn't stay on the field due to injuries...I think his W-L when healthy was pretty decent in 85 and 86 if memory serves.

Not sure if you are confusing him with someone else, but Donnie started every game his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years.

I'm almost positive he hurt his shoulder one year at the very least.

Recall that Donnie suffered injuries almost immediately after he arrived on campus.

So, the 1985 season was for eligibility purposes, Donnie's sophomore year.

I am pretty sure that he began that season on the bench.

I'm pretty sure that Mike Kmetz began the season as the starting QB.

Both he and the team regressed a bit in 1986 - for various reasons.
