My run-in with Patrick Ewing

I don't have any of this stuff, but the year after I graduated my brother was finishing up law school at SU and the weekend of the game Len Elmore was in town to do the broadcast, and my brother and his buddies were at the bar at the Sheraton and started talking to Len after he walked in and wound up drinking and shooting pool with him for a couple hours (apparently Len is a total pool hustler).

In Philly after the game Saturday, VA Orange and I alighted from our cab at 30th Street Station and Clyde Frazier, resplendant in his finest houndstooth suit, was jumping in a cab headed to the WFC to call the Knicks game.

Resplendent is the perfect adjective for Walt and his suits. He's always winning and grinning in my book, God bless him.
