I went back and re watched the Scoop penalty, it was on a punt return around 9:30 in the 1st Q. Refs were definitely late blowing the whistle however theres at least a couple whistles before he throws him down, but as someone pointed out earlier I don't think they could be heard in the stadium as well as they could be heard on TV. Fredrick gives the guy a late push as well, so in conclusion I'll officially give Scoop the "Mustacheovich Penalty Pass™"

I heard it clearly on the espn+ broadcast before Scoop threw him down. I reacted before the flag was thrown. The whistle was way late, but it was there.

Wasn’t that player out of bounds by the time Scoop hit him? It was a rare lack of control/awareness from one of Dino’s players but I doubt we see much of that again this season.

Oh, absolutely. Something I never gave much thought to, but when I noticed they only had 3 #’s retired while I was shielding the sun from my eyes... I’m not sure I ever noticed a school retire the # of a private founder.

Just a minor thought in between game action and watching oddly painted clowns dancing on their big screen between breaks.

Why is that disappointing? It's a dog poo opponent (one that some people will not see a game at simply out of principle), located over two hours from any metro area that might have a significant Syracuse fan population base, not near any major airports, on a holiday weekend. Couple that with the fact that fans can see more meaningful games at NC State, Duke, and UMD, I'm surprised anyone would go.

We will know more in 24 hrs. Dorian expected to make a right turn but will almost be stationary the next 12-24 hours. I doubt College Park gets more than rain and a strong breeze.

The key will be the velocity of the track once it turns as to where it will be on Saturday
