my thoughts on field goals this year

I think that it is simple. Ross should be our primary kicker for both FG's and after points unless he tanks. I would however let Norton handle anything past a certain distance say 40 yards as he has a much stronger leg.

I think they should practice and the coaches should watch them and determine who the best FG kicker is for each situation. Then, depending on the situation, use the best one.

Norton is a good athlete. I watched a practice last fall and all the kickers were running laps around the Carrier Dome field. Norton lapped them all while completing eight laps (2 miles). I think the competition will benefit Krautman.

There is a story on Syracuse.com now that states that Norton kicked all the FGs and extra points during the scrimmage on Sat.
