My thoughts on next season.

Go where? Play for Maine Red Claws or Fort Wayne Mad Ants and make 50k in the NBDL?
If G were a 1st round pick I would be the first to tell him leave but not when you aren't even a 2nd round pick.

Maybe he has other things he wants to do? Happens...

Here is my 2 cents. Mike is leaving. I compare it to 2002 when desaaun left and James t left. I think the message is more will leave. I believe Bryant is in the bag. And I bet we have a new point guard next year. I also think of these 3 only 1 will be back. Kaleb. BJ. Ron. Sloan from football team left 2. He said in an interview it's a business. Players are alwAys asked to leave. Etc. JAB message was he is not only getting Bryant but there will be another player in the mix

Always look forward to your insight even if some of your predictions have been off base recently... I hope the one about G is as well.

G should be back. If/when he is back I think he becomes a 17-5-7 player ppg/dimes/boards. I think he shoots a 45% clip too from the perimeter.

He's a college basketball stud.

G could go to Europe next year and make a lot more money than an NBDL player makes. The NBDL pay scale is a joke.

If G's goal is the NBA, I think having a big year in the ACC playing against other NBA prospects would give him the most exposure. Europe will always be there for him.

I think G is the wild card for next year if back its easier to see how the squad shapes up: KJ, TC, MG, CM, TB and sub's.

If not back things are much more wide open especially in the forward rotation and if BJ were to return he'd have a chance for major minutes and even a possible starters roll at the 3.

G talks about next year when no one asks him about next year. Most guys leaving wouldn't do that.

If G was being forced out or wanted to move Syracuse would have likely honored him on Senior day. As he is graduating and a lot of times guys moving on are honored on Senior Day.

G wasn't honored I think he is coming back.

As i said in another spot, G talks about next years team even when he isn't asked about next years team. Doesn't sound like a guy leaving to me. Have you talked to him? My source has.

Regardless of who comes back and who doesn't, assuming KJo is back he will without a doubt be the key to next years success. The shooting will be better just by nature of Malachi being here. The forward play will be better with a more mature and hopefully healthy CMac. Just think, the only reason he will be here instead of the NBA is because he was injured which made him an unknown to the NBA. Provided he's healthy he should dominate. Everywhere else there will be talented players regardless. But the team needs a PG and its not going to be Mike. As JB himself said, "Mike can play a little PG, but he's a SF." I'm very anxious to see how it shakes out and who is on the roster. If we lose 2 players besides Rak I really hope we bring in a Juco or 5th yr PG. Even if KJo makes a sophomore leap we could always use another ball handler distributor. If I'm a betting man, we'll only have 2 'sons' on the team next year.

Gbinije isn't going to stay at school or leave with one more year of eligibility because of something that was posted on the internet. If he's leaving it will be for his reasons and maybe JAB can get him a gig in Europe. Maybe the guy wants to make $250k playing basketball instead of not making money. Maybe he's not interested in the college game at 23.

People are just speculating and college players do all sorts of things for whatever reason they have. Making $50k a season in the D-league is more than what he's earning at SU.

NO ONE makes anywhere near $50k a year in the Dleague unless they get called up for 1 or 2 10 day contracts.
