Having been in full football mode I haven't said anything about this basketball team. These 3 games have mattered very little as the team hasn't been challenged by the talent of the opposition. I will say that the Cornell first half was scary, but honestly I am nitpicking. IMO, the biggest concern for me is the lack of a go to bonafide 2nd scorer. I have no idea who the guy in conference play will be to be the 2nd scorer behind C.J. Fair. This team is deep and all these games are important to create a rotation and determine JB's pecking order. Say what you will about JB's teams but watching them it was always easy for me to determine the scoring pecking order of the team an determine where the points were coming from. The exception of course was 2010 when honestly we had 7 guys who could score anytime and I didn't know the pecking order.

This team needs one of Rakeem Christmas or Dajuan Coleman to step up NOW. Watching them play together makes our offense a clogged toilet where we are playing 3 on 5 offensively. The defense is always going to be elite due to JB's coaching and the talent on this team, but to win games we need the offense to be better. I think the guard play will be okay with Ennis, Cooney,Gbinije, but to get better need more for the Christmas/Coleman spot. Fair, Grant, 2 of the guards are good but need more from the bigs. I hope this team can score 70 points a game because if we can it will be really tough to beat us. Fair is a stud, but needs help scoring from his teammates.

Good points. Your last paragraph is pretty spot on. I think teams are still going to clog up the paint until this year's team can show they can make some outside shots. It's been all over the place so far, much like last year. Definitely need more from the bigs. Even if Grant/Roberson provide good help. Post defenders need to have to pay attention to Rak/Coleman if we're going to win some big games. We'll need to score 80 a few times this year to win those. Can we?
