This man may be mentioned once or twice by the broadcast team on Friday.

Temple had the first African-American head football coach in the Big East, Ron Dickerson. I believe he was the first African-American HC at the Div. 1-A level as well.

The only original football member of the Big East still remaining in the conference, although did have a brief 8 year hiatus.

And we still owe them payback for November 13th, 2004. It was bad enough in 2002, but this was in some ways worse. We couldn't stop their QB all day long. This game had as much do to with Pasqualoni getting fired as anything else. Diamond Ferri had his big game a couple weeks later vs BC but in some regards the season and Pasqualoni's tenure was already over with.

I once gave a full-body hug to the Temple Owl.

Good times.

Temple nearly cost Joe Morris his career. When the Dome was first completed, there was no padding on the concrete walls behind the benches. I know! Difficult to image who forgot that! A hard hit from a Temple player sent JM out of bounds, into the wall, and he separated his shoulder. Cost him a few games if I remember correctly. Could have been MUCH worse.

Qadry Ismail once conducted the SU Marching Band doing 'Down the Field'.

Against Temple.

At the Vet.

During the game.

Coaches were not pleased.

On Friday at 3 pm, Temple's record will be 4-7. This is the only thing I know and hopefully the last time I will care about Temple's record.

They are the team not known as the Broad Street Bullies.

I was at that game. My uncle is an Iggles season ticket holder, and he got me 50 yard line seats ... on the Temple side of the field.

The usher looked at my tickets and said "You can sit here if you really want to, but if you want to walk around and sit on the Syracuse side of the field, it won't be a problem". :D

Temple claims that Norman Fell (Mr Roper), Hall and Oates and Kathryn Morris (Detective Lilly Rush of Cold Case) all went there.

They had a strange looking left handed QB named Boyer who started most of the season this year but he was recently benched so they could play Clinton Granger, a beer bellied 6-3 230 junior who cannot throw the ball (15-32 46.9% 1 TD this season). Granger averages 5.4 ypc running the ball, wielding his ample belly as a weapon. It is quite a sight to behold.

Temple gave up 407 yards rushing to Army. We might be down to our 4th string RB (AAM) so our ability to exploit this may be somewhat limited.

They used to get beat up by Hofstra, back in the day when Hofstra fielded a team of man-eating Cyclops.

Temple is solid.

They beat USF and gave Rutgers a better game than we did.

They have talent and run the ball very well - the former BC RB of course had a monster day last week.

If we are not ready, we lose this game and that would be a horrible way to end the regular season.

All students are required to wear track shoes at all times when on campus.

An infamous t-shirt for sale in Philly "I went to Temple and all I got was mugged".

Funny- when's the last time we sent the band to an away game? Seems like never.

Did you watch the second half of their game against Rutgers?
