NAME THE BEST TRANSFERS WHO PLAYED FB. @ SU.

Drew was our first grad transfer. The rule was you could play immediately if your new school had a course your old one didn't have. Drew didn't remember the name of his course here and had to look it up when Bud Poliquin asked him what it was.

Greg Paulus was actually our first grad transfer, at least maybe with an asterisk.

Nice article on Russel Wilson’s transfer with a shout out to Paulus.

Here's another good question: Who has transferred from the Syracuse football program and become a star somewhere else? I can think of a handful of them in basketball, (all guys who were behind better players here). The only one I can think of in football is from a long time ago. Otis Wilson transferred to Louisville back in the 70's and wound up a key player on the Chicago Bears' defense in the 1980's. Has there been anyone since?

And does anyone know what Jordan Fredericks is doing these days?

So bizzare you brought up that name. I walking the other morning thinking about the three QB's we have left to play this year and when has it been this bad. Steve Peach was one of the people that popped into my head!

Mandel Robinson went to Wyoming and became a TE.

Qaadir Shepard transferred to Ole Miss.

Juwan Dowels transferred to WMU. As did Steven Clark.

Dontez Ford transferred to Pitt.

Juan Wallace transferred to Kent State.

Ike Bogosian came from BC and Wilkie Sydnor from Villanova when I played. Both were very good players and Ike became one of the team captains in ‘81...Coach Mac’s first season at the Cuse.
I was waiting for an old school fan to pop those 2 names up I think Ike has a son who plays in the NHL and Sydnor did have a bit of time in the NFL I saw them both play at Archibald in the 70's excellent work Orangejet ;)

Ford ended up being pretty good, didn't he?

Roger Remo, transfer from Indiana, came in as QB, ended up as starting linebacker with Bernard King and Derek Ward, I think Remo.was starting linebacker for 84 upset of Nebraska and then following year, good player
