Would be wonderful if ratings for this game somehow underperform.

I "hate" both teams but I literally HATE Ohio st way more than ND.

I tried to make a list of who I wanted to win NC when it was released...I had to quit bc ND was 5th out of 12.
Every team then Big10 sec.

Oh, it's well established how much I hate Ohio State.

But they are #3 for me, behind Penn State and Notre Dame.

Literally, those are the only two teams I loathe more than OSU.

This game is no-win for me.
I understand, in reality no win for me as well.
Your Nd vs Penn st
is my ohio st vs penn st
whatever It all sucks

There’s always the meteor strike.

Yup, as much as I dislike Notre Dame, they pale in comparison to Ohio State.

Plus, Notre Dame's loose affiliation with the ACC in football gives some small prestige back to our conference... And since they are on our schedule next year, if we play well before the ND game next year, us playing the national champs will bea big story. If, when we play them, by some crazy miracle we are undefeated, playing the national champs will be the only thing anybody talks about, nationwide.

Ohio State has absolutely no upside if they win tonight.

But both of them have some of the most insufferable football fans of any fan base.

The only reason I am, I can’t say rooting or hoping or want Ohio St to win is I don’t know any Ohio St fans. I do know ND fans; and they hard to be around during the season. They will be worse if they win.

I haven’t heard a single ACC reference tonight, so no. And who cares what anyone thinks of the conference?

Ohio State fans are going on our socials and talking crap, it's really irritating me.
They finished higher in the B10 with McCord with one less loss. Had there been expanded playoffs, they would have made it. What’s their argument? Such a weird flex.

A national championship for them and they are talking crap to Syracuse. Take that as a w in my book and that we’re moving up in the college football world haha. Seriously though, if Michigan hadn’t been Ohio State’s daddy for 4 straight years, we probably would be getting zero crap from them today

I don't have a problem with OSU. I've lived in Columbus for a long time and i root for them as a DISTANT second team and watch a lot of their games with friends. But don't follow them at all. They are a Big Dog in football and the whole "THE" Ohio State University gets under peoples skin so I get everyone disliking them. What I don't like about OSU is I don't think Day handled anything with McCord very well though.

The OSU 2023 team wasn't quite as good as 2024 and not really because of McCord. The rushing game was quite a bit better this year and it wasn't because of Howard as he didn't run the ball effectively at all in the regular season and had just over 100 yds rushing to that point. Overall I do think Howard in 2024 could have been a slight improvement to McCord in 2023 but if it is its not by much. McCord was a first year starting QB in 2023. Howard already had a season and a half of starting experience coming into this season. Sure OSU lost the Michigan game in 2023 and OSU wanted to put the blame on Day and McCord to an extent as he was no CJ Stroud (Nobody was) and Day wanted to put the blame on McCord, possibly make a change and make McCord the fall guy as he was feeling serious heat. The coaching sucked against Michigan in 2023 and did once again in 2024 when they lost, AGAIN. Luckily for him they made the expanded playoffs and he got a shot to redeem himself. After 2023 some OSU fans had spread rumors about his Dad being difficult with demands. Who knows but of course his Dad was looking out for him. If Day wanted to bring in a starting level QB from the portal and have them fight it out for McCord's senior year of course his Dad was not cool with that. Why would he stick around in that situation when he knows damn well he should be playing I'm sure he or his Dad threatened leaving if that was the case. I think if the 2024 McCord would have played at OSU they would have killed it in the passing game as he really good despite playing behind a less than stellar O-line this year. Then again Fran's trust in McCord and how he handled him gave McCord a lot more confidence than he had at OSU so who knows. All worked out for the best.

And not surprisingly, it sounds like some are hearing crap from some stupid OSU fans about McCord but I have spoke with many other OSU Buckeye fans that are happy for McCord as well.

Work with a big OSU alum/fan. He has been pretty steadfast that beating Michigan was and still is more important than winning a NC is to him, at least. Said this before and after the playoffs. So in that sense he still considers the season a total failure.
