NBA 2018-2019

Gasol at the top was also key to getting the double digit lead in the first quarter. He was competent tonight, after whatever the hell he was doing in game 2.

Their options are limited. You don't have Lowry and as I said clearing for Siakam to drive or semi-post is not working with his injury.

I would say depth of offensive options is the bigger issue.

Green being MIA these past few playoff games is hurting Toronto especially with his history as a top playoff performer.

Siakam finally seems to be out of his funk.

Van Vleet has just been bad. Is Lin that washed they won’t go to him instead?

Agreed on Green.
Siakam is still inefficient though, compared to before. There were a few plays tonight where last month he would have dunked. Lacking a little lift which seems to throw him off.

Lin played really bad in March. But he deserves another shot. Everybody is clueless as to why Nurse loves FVV so much.

Man that was a truly depressing game to watch. Lowry and Powell foul out and Kawhi limping the whole game but the entire Bucks team outside of Hill and Brogdon decided to bring their D or game tonight. Huge blown opportunity and now Toronto is right back in it.

Bledsoe is hot garbage. Talks a big game, but that's about it.

He was our 2nd best player the last two years now in the regular season but he’s definitely in a slump right now

As a raps fan I see it as the opposite. There was no way they should have let that game go to 2OTs. A wins a win but I’ll be pleasantly shocked if they win the series.

I like full lottery.

I also propose that lottery odds are earned in halves of the season. First half, they're set by how bad the record is. Second half, they're set by how good the record is. That way if you're actually bad, you have some shot at improving through the draft, but you're also encouraged to compete throughout the season.
eliminate the draft

just invite a bunch of guys to a combine - no set number, a different total every year.
some years maybe 100, some years maybe less than 50

then a competitive balance committee assigns from 0 to 2 players to each team. anyone not assigned is free to be signed as a free agent by any team

if you traded for a future draft pick that now has no value then tough luck, sucker.

that's how commissioner moqui would do it

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.

Logically speaking, you're probably right. Hill and Brogdon were the only two that shot well last night and we still somehow forced overtime. And if god forbid Kawhi's injury is anything serious, that's obviously a huge deal. But man, if Milwaukee had just brought their C game in terms of shooting last night, it could be a pretty much insurmountable 3-0 lead right now. That was a tough one to let slip away and I'm always a nervous wreck in the playoffs anyways so this was not good for my personal psyche lol.

That's all the evidence I need. He's better than Van Fleet. Comparable to Danny Green.

Danny Green shot 45% from 3 this year while being one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. Guy finished 1st among ALL SGs in the NBA in ESPN Real +/- this year on top of that. Thinking that he is bad is why fans are dumb.

How nervous should the Lakers be that Magic is on First Take today.

I've always wondered who watches that show. I have to assume that there is a direct correlation between the people that enjoy it and the people that are not at work and able to watch it.

Agreed. I am off today doing house stuff so I will have it on in the background. However, a lot of their takes are blasted everywhere after their show is on.

It sucks because I used to love Max just due to Boxing and now he's in the same category as Stephen A and Skip to me at this point.

I actually think Kellerman is worse than Stephen A and only slightly above Skip. I find myself disagreeing with pretty much every opinion he has.
