It's interesting to compare how the NBA views draft picks as opposed to the NFL. In the NBA they're tossed around freely while NFL GMs won't cough up draft picks unless they're confronted at gunpoint.

NFL guys seem to be men right off the bat, while NBA guys need a little growing time until the second contract. $$$
Edit- also a big difference between averaging 19 an 22 years old.

I like Grant Williams a lot. Nice pickup for the Celtics. I know a lot of the scouts online love him too; seen a lot of people with him in their top 10 on their big boards. I’m not THAT high on him but he was one of those guys where I was shocked he was projected around Milwaukee’s pick.

Agreed. Also for some very obvious reasons a substantial portion of NFL players drafted in the first two rounds will go on to have NFL careers. That's not the case with the NBA.
