When is the last time Syracuse recruited a player they came as a Freshman we developed them and then they got drafted?

The first one that jumps out is maybe around Richardson or Lydon someplace around there? But that is like 2016 ish it can't be almost a decade right?

Last draft pick was Elijah Hughes in 2020. Last guy that wasn't a transfer was Lydon in 2017.

Oh man that is so bad. So we haven't had a guy drafted in 5 years and we haven't had a "homegrown" player drafted in 8 years. In any round.

Yeah. So no matter what people's opinions are on Donnie, we really should wish that he can get drafted. It's just a tough look.

I think Judah is the only guy that even had a remote chance of being drafted that fits that criteria.

In terms of NBA success, the best "recruit" we have had since 2013 is Oshae Brissett.
I'm happy for Oshae that he was able to turn himself into a guy that has now reached 227 current NBA games... but this fact is not a positive for the program.
