Hey folks…need some NBA fantasy advice.

I'm the commish in a keeper league…and I finished in dead last the previous year. I'm importing 4 keepers from my roster last year.

These 3 are locks
Rubio
D12
Greg Monroe

but I need another one from this list of fine potentials: Rondo, Jr Smith, Eric Gordon, Jeff Green, Kenneth Farried.

I also stockpiled a TON of draft picks once I realized that Howard and Rondo weren't going to make the difference for me last year. Once all the keepers from the other teams are off the board, I'll be picking first with two picks (generally around pick 40 - 10 team league.) Should I shoot for guys like Drummond and Noel immediately off the bat, or should I try to play it safe?

Also, if anyone has a list of keeper rankings for this upcoming season, I'd love to see it. I can't find much on the net.

Rondo.

Smith is trash.
Green's inconsistent trash.
Gordon's not on those three's level and Farried meh.

For this year…maybe. But what about the future?

Definitely Rondo. He's going to probably be near the top in assists for the next 5 years, and more than likely he'll be dealt to a contender this year. I expect him to be in full FU mode as he proves to people that he can play without KG and Pierce.

Drummond is interesting, but I'd probably stay away from Noel. Depends on who else is available, but I'd probably target a guy with bigger potential in a couple of years over a guy with very limited offense. What about McCollum or Schroeder from Atlanta?

It really depends on how the league is scored, but if rebounding is equal or great than assist go with Farried because he rebounds and dunks the ball (high fg %) if assist are valued greatly than go with Rondo but without shooters on that team it could a bit of a risk.

Another thing to consider with Rondo is when he is going to be back. The Celtics are in the Wiggins sweepstakes and probably won't be in a rush to get Rondo back on the floor too soon.

Is it a 5 by 5 H2H league or Roto?
JR Smith is out IMO its between Farried and Rondo. Jeff Green is a 15ppg, 5rpg, 3 apg type of guy. Eric Gordon never stays healthy I wouldn't keep any injury risk unless they are a top 20 guy and I see Gordon as a top 40 guy. I like Farried if you can get C eligibility for him as a trade bait if he is only a PF then his value isn't as high, but I still like him more than Rondo because I see Farried playing everyday and Rondo isn't going to play before December IMO.
How I would rank them if all were healthy
1. Rondo
2. Farried
3. Green
4. Gordon
5. Smith
with Rondo hurt I switch 1 and 2. If you are playing the long term game its obvious you keep Rondo. Rondo is an asset and could always be trade bait. I think Rondo is your guy if you are thinking 2-3 years, but if your in contention this year Farried is the guy.

It's H2H and all cats are equally scored. I'm leaning towards Rondo…but Farried isn't a bad option either.
