It's weird that they leaked that having to include Russ in whatever pitch was coming from the candidates and that they then had Ham talk about him at the presser while he was there.

I don't know how this will play out, but doubling down on Russ (and maybe it's because they have no other moves and are trying to keep him motivated) seems like it won't end well.

The “fines were $2” part was very real though. NBA went all out on shutting down fights after Detroit-Indiana. You won’t see Dr. J and Bird throwing punches at each other, or Shaq and Barkley, anymore. Imagine LeBron and KD squaring off? Lol, I can’t imagine it. NBA killed that off, for sure.

The main reasons they don’t fight is because of suspensions more so than just the fines….some of these guys would totally fight now if it weren’t punished severely

As far as my inital H0T Takes right after the draft, I was excited when the Celtics took Tatum. He has his weaknesses, but in general I'll say I was right that pick has turned out well.

I was not excited when they took Jaylen Brown. Some of it might have been that I didn't see him much at Cal, but I didn't think he'd be that good. Oopsy.
