That Magic team almost certainly would have won a title had the Magic not been complete dolts. They offered Shaq somewhere near 48% of what a max contract was at the time.

Both of those teams were really damn strong on young talent.

Drazen was a beast. Tough, skilled and as you mention. Not scared. Young DC also - beast, and Shaq in shape and hungry. Cool memory.

Sorry I misspoke in the OP. That was the early part of the 93-94 season, so Shaq's second year and Penny Hardaway's rookie year.

DC was a beast that year, averaging 20 and 11 and earning All-NBA third team.

I remember Shaq said that DC was one of only three players in his career to dunk on him.
