NC State starts two 6'5 Guards

...first opponent with guards that match our height....should prove interesting how we do against their height...which by the way is lacking in the post...6'9 tallest good player in block....

Will be at game...going to be rowdy at Raleigh...but will prove to be a tough match-up for 'Cuse.
I expect 'Cuse win by 7-12 pts....

It will be interesting for sure because it is different then we see the most. However, our guys aren't very small and have a lot of strength, especially in Waiters and Triche. MCW is 6'5" or taller also.

I don't know much about NC States guards, but the typical bigger guard would seem to be to our advantage. I think players that are quick to the basket or tremendous shooters hurt us more. Size does not always dictate their ability to drive or shoot, but the bigger guards are typically slower and poorer shooters. Again, I don't know what we're going to see from NC State, but the fact that they're 6'5" doesn't worry me.

This game will be a good measuring stick for where we are at... Not so much because NCSU is good, but the road atmosphere coming off the BF disaster, in our future conference, will be intriguing storylines...

NC State SOS= 39th SU = 14th

and they do have a 7'1" C - Vandenberg but he doesn't play much
Painter (C) is 6'9" and CJ Leslie is 6'8" while Wood () 6'6" ... so they have a starting frontcourt at 6'6, 6'9 and 6'8 - that's pretty comparable especially when they pretty freely rotate their frontcourt ... so at any point we would be facing a frontcourt of 6'8, 6'8, and 6'9. The guards Brown (6'5) and Williams (6'5) will pretty much be in there the entire game.

Their guards combine for 4-5 TOs /game while the team averages 14 tos p/g ... and that's not playing anyone with the defensive intensity that SU displays.
