First off, shout-out to every poster, lurker, and Syracuse fan who made it over to the tailgate on Saturday! We all know how difficult this process has been since March when we first started planning this. Everything came together and I thought it was a very successful event.
The day got off to a rocky start. We loaded up our UHAUL truck and started making our way to the tailgate. SU2NASA beat me to the lot, mainly because our grill fell our of our truck along the way. We avoided disaster and it lit up rather easy. We got there right as the lot opened up, but there was not a single car in sight. Because NCState decided to make this lot permit only today, the lot didn't fill up util the faculty and staff members of the school got to the game (around noon).
After that, many posters started dropping supplies off. I feel horrible for the fact I can't remember all the details on who brought what, but our posters and their Sig-Figs were very generous. Many people brought beer (seriously we had probably over 250 beers at the tailgate). Off the top of my head, MiniCuse brought some GREAT brownies, C Bomb had some great whoopie-pies, orange_in_VA had the Zwiegels on lock down, and Cusejuicy brought some Hoffmans (which my group absolutely loved because we haven't had them in like a year and a half! timkay99 gets the award for furthest traeler, as he flew in from Arizona to see the game!
This one is for sutomcat : The tailgate gave me the opportunity to break out my new Syracuse Beer Mug. Seriously, get it! It holds about 2 1/2 beers, and it was used for a solid 10 hours on Saturday. I got it off of Amazon, it looks like the price as gone up by about 10 bucks since I bought it, but what's the price of fandom? Exactly..

The conversation was great, many games or Corn hole and Kan-Jam were played. We had some NC State fans stop by (all of my friends) who were "shocked" at all the orange. They didn't expect us Yanks to have such a great turnout.
About half way through, I noticed a group of NC State fans across our tailgate playing Beer Pong. After chatting them up, SU2NASA and I decided to challenge them to a game. TexanMark made sure to tell us that if we didn't win, we weren't allowed back on our side. Luckily, both SU2NASA and I are snipers and beat them rather easily. We told them to expect the same after for the game. There was a rather large crowd of State fans waiting for a shuttle watching our game. They didn't seem amused by our domination.
There's not too much to say about the game that hasn't already been said. SU dominated the line of scrimmage, and as we all know, that gives you a complete advantage when that happens. It was only a matter of time before big runs were broken by Smith and Gulley; the Cuse O-Line was wearing them down all game.
S/O to Crusty for alerting me of the TV broadcast panning on me and my friends as the game ended. We are going to be famous for our Buffalo and Christmas hat. It's been on every Syracuse telecast for when they play in North Carolina (Basketball, Football & Lacrosse).
Thanks again for everyone coming out to the game! Everyone brought great supplies and everyone who was there had a huge part in making it successful. I said it after the game, and I am going to love it every-time we play NC State, but North Carolina is truly OUR STATE!
Hopefully, I'll see everyone in Maryland!
