I was working on this a bit yesterday when I was watching the games.. I can rarely sit down and watch a game and only focus on that.

View these as conference records of sorts.
- The first number is the wins that conference had against other conferece teams in the tournament top 12 seed lines (or first 4 out).
- The second number is the Q3/Q4, "Bad Losses" against teams of other conferences,

[B]SEC: 21-12
Big12: 14-3
BIG: 14-6
Big East: 13-4
ACC: 6-17[/B]

Those 6 wins show how bad our "best" teams performed.
Those 17 losses are largely an indictment of how many bad teams their was in the ACC.
Both figures were the worst amongst all the conferences.    
And once all your teams go down a notch getting Q1 opportunities is tough in conference.

For example in the SEC you could see they had some bad teams, but there good teams were also very good (and actually all their teams contributed to that 21)

I didn't do the PAC-12.   But I suspect they were in line with the ACC.  Its why those four other conferences dominated the seed lines this year.
