They are looking at a lot of things including dorms for athletes, xfers playing immediately, trimming the rule book, coaches, etc.

NCAA

4 super conferences. No monopoly braking away with bowl games a march tourney and no gov. And no Ncaa /// they catch on quick!

Ugh.

If all these the listed items are adopted it'll remove all but the SEC and a select few from ever having a chance at winning a championship.

Instant transfer eligibility is simply an invitation to entice the best/proven players to transfer. Imagine: Florida's Junior QB breaks a leg and may not return. The others in their pipeline won't be ready to compete the following year. Syracuse has a junior QB who looks great (e.g. McNabb). They pay Donovan a visit and tell him that they're just a QB away from winning the national championship... there may even be some other benefits along the way.

the more the ncaa fix's things the worse they get-been that way since the day they formed

Completely agree on the transfer front. Just as free agency has diminished professional sports, so will the transfer eligibility rule if indeed adopted.

Well it's obvious they are very busy, but I wonder if there is any chance they could take a look at Bryan Johnson's waiver request?

I wish they would start w/ an early signing period for Football-Recruiting is out of control. If they can have one for basketball, they can have one for football.

That would be great...less soft verbals and reneging.

Immediate eligibility for transfers would destroy the sport and make enforcement of illegal "recruiting" impossible. About 12 "golden" programs would control all the talent and everyone else would just be a developmental farm team to be plundered.

you would hope they have enough common sense to avoid that one-
but they wont

I can't believe they would eliminate the transfer rule. Just doesn't make sense. Oh Lord

They should eliminate it in case of new coach or probation. Otherwise tough. Also, eliminate different conference rules from NCAA.

Unless you were the cause of the probation. Otherwise, I agree with everything you said.

Then they should make a coach sit out a year if he signs a deal with another school. It goes both ways and the fact that kids can't go to certain schools and it's designated by their current school is wrong. I don't want them getting paid by they should be allowed the same freedoms coaches (who by the way often break their own signed contract) and other students get.
