NCAA Elite Eight Games for Sat March 29

The winner of Houston/Tennessee will give Duke a better game. Bama just isn’t good enough on defense if they can’t score.

Yup they had to score like they did last game to have a chance. as soon as Sears was "off" it was over.

I will always dislike Duke but I actually like Scheyer and Flagg and they don’t have any d bags this year. Scheyer in his 3rd year is in his back to back elite 8 and headed to first final 4 (if they don’t choke). I mean that’s crazy

Ok, but up 20 and leaving your starters on the floor for the last 60 seconds is what it is.

I agree. Tennessee would be tougher for Duke. Houston is tough as nails, but not really many big guys.

Maliq Brown with a DNP, but might get a ring. Worth it?
He played but in limited minutes. He’s probably going to have offseason surgery on his shoulder. Playing Ngongba as the backup probably hoping he won’t dislocate his shoulder again.

The program has improved a lot since he replaced K. He's tremendous.

It’s amazing that Maluach is totally dominating Bama’s guards on D. He has insane foot quickness for a 7-footer. When he gets the switch on Sears, he stays there.

Maluach was awesome tonight on both sides of the floor.
He might have been their most important guy tonight. I've seen him as a top ten pick.

Sears has been off except for the game the other night. He was 5-35 from three leading up to that game. Last night was more indicative of the way he’s been shooting the three. Alabama is also not a good defensive team. Duke must have had ten dunks last night.

Maluach should be the MVP of the East REGIONAL. He was the most dominant player on both ends of the court. A terrific young player.

I've been intrigued by him since the Olympics. If you are drafting strictly on potential, I would rank him top five.

In his free time Scheyer said he likes to play games, especially chess, and likes games with winners and losers.

He's clearly a competitive freak (saying that in a good way) and Duke seems to have found another 30-year gem.

Agree. The only "but" I got is the draw they get every year is quite something. Compared to Houston who gets a top 10 Kenpom 8seed followed by 2 road games I mean Lol.

Duke is a good example of when to do a continuation hire.

Fennell cannot be Kon Knueppel. His TS% is 63.8% and his BPM is 10.6. Shot 40.1% from three. I really like Fennell, but he isn't going to be lottery-level good next year or even close.

As others have said, Maliq is playing through injury, is getting paid and about to go to a Final Four.

Can't believe, but I don't hate this Duke team.

Cooper Flagg has a 30.2 PER and a 15.9 BPM. I don't think he'll ever be in the absolute top tier in the NBA (like the guys in the SGA/Luka/Jokic/Giannis group, currently, or the Bron/KD/Steph group before), but he could be the a great #2, consistent all star, etc. Feel like somehow the Spurs will jump the line and get him since they have had the greatest lottery luck in history.
