Sampson has come a long way from 2003...

There are very few things in sports as satisfying as watching SEC teams go down.

Duke and UConn losing trumps them losing by a factor of about 3 million.

But you can slot in the SEC at #3.

And the thing that trumps those would be Georgetown losing…….but then again they are rarely in the tourney

Darn shame TTech couldn't finish off Florida, Auburn would've been their last hope for the FF.

This is the Auburn team of 6-8 weeks ago. When they bring their A game...

Did msu just miss like 4 straight 3s in about 12 seconds?

It occurs to me as I watch this game that several of this year's most successful coaches - Sampson, Pearl, Pitino, Sean Miller - were damaged goods. And yet somehow, they still got hired again, the media didn't excoriate them or the school, and were able to do a great job for their new schools.

I hope Red can turn it around next season. I really do. It makes a better story for him to succeed, for SU and our program's legacy. He is a universally liked guy.

But if we find ourselves in the market again, I hope we aren't prudes about who we interview and ultimately hire. I want someone who can win. Those guys generally are ultra competitive and therefore have some skeletons or may be abrasive. It's part of the nature of the job.

Broome for Auburn is showing why a championship team has to have a low post offensive threat. He's been carrying Auburn while their guards struggled in the first half. Shooters go cold.

It's really hard to dislike that kid. I can't stand Bruce Pearl, but Johni Broome is a good kid and a great player.

Hate from someone to get hurt like that. That injury to Broome and they way he walked off and told his teammates he was done it isn't good. Tough break from Auburn

Well, he has a week for treatment.

This game isn't over yet and the way he was carrying his arm I don't think this is a tape it up and get back out there next week type injury but we will see.

Man that's an all time bad beat for a school that hasn't won. Just when you thought this tournament couldn't get more lame.
