Have a buddy who quit his great job last year to be a full time sports better/handicapper, he’s doing amazing and he does a lot of live betting. Have been following him for months and have been raking it in. Thinking about taking a ton out of savings and keep it rolling.

This sounds like a baaaaaaaad idea . The greatest handicappers of all time do what ? 58% ?

I’m pretty much retired anyway with no dependents, made a killing on some real estate the past decade and have zero debt. I’ll give it a shot for a year.

May even be lower than 58%, but from what my buddy told me, it’s about finding the weak spots with the live in-game betting. Like in hockey, 3-4 minutes left in a hockey game and it’s close and you know the goalie is going to get pulled, bet that another goal will be scored, the odds are very favorable and while they may not score every game, the odds are so good that you can win much less than 58% of the time and still win quite a bit of money. That’s just one example, it’s about finding the kinks in the Sportsbooks and finding value.

There have been a bunch of things where he says “bet this” and I didn’t because it seemed dumb, and it was dumb 7-10 times, thing is, those three times it paid would bring in a ton of money.

I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t see his success, but he’s crushing it, I’m not going to throw in like he did but if I can bring in 100-150k watching sports and talking to my friends on zoom then why not.

I've got a Miami 50-1 futures who hedged on Texas -3.5. I was rooting for Texas throughout the game because I don't think Miami has enough size to beat UConn but then again didn't think they had enough to advance today.

He has been removed from MGM and FanDuel as was a bunch in the group he’s in, so far the rest he’s been good.

I like Larranaga too but its funny that he has escaped unjudged from the FBI investigation which Miami was part of.

I'm with you. Actually picked up Miami back in early February at 60-1. Didn't think they would beat Texas (who I also had at 20 to 1) so I burnt some money hedging with the Horns. Now I'm in the uncomfortable (but still quite profitable) situation of having to hedge my position by betting UConn ML. I'd like to just let it ride and hope that Miami wins but that would be foolish, even though I think they have a decent shot.

The beer was flowing and cigars smoking at a round 8 player poker table last night with two large flat screens tuned to the game.

My son went to Miami on a baseball scholarship and has a championship ring. He was trying not to pay attention to the broadcast but when Miami came back it was impossible for him not to look.

Great game. Miami has some legs. Whether they are fast enough for the dogs?
