even after that they battled back. They won the rebounding battle in the 1st half by 5. and then lost the rebounding by end of game by 12. That's -17 in the 2nd half. Just didn't have the legs, but who would.

They only have 2 other scholarship players - a short freshman guard who cant play defense or score, and another freshman who cant play defense. The fact was that once they lost Chandler they were down to really 5.5 players.

Watching Doty got me wondering, any Fulton Red Dragons on the board? I played against them in a few sports & remember their field being surrounded by thick woods plus their colors being red & green gave it a real Christmas-y vibe.

Ideally, yes, I think Gerry was afraid of giving up too many points to get a breather.
Losing Chandler was the difference frankly.
With him, they win I frankly have no doubt.

What is truly shocking is SU lost by 37 to Duke, Red said they are just too tough to compete against and Gerry and his five member Siena team led Duke to the last few minutes and only lost by 6.
Shows how shockingly bad Red was as a coach.
We hire him we get a coach who knows what he is doing, and in Doty a true leader who will lead the team on the floor. Anyone who loafs or gives half effort, they will both kick their respective asses.

Its' a great performance by Siena but Duke was never gonna actually lose this game.

If Gerry had even one dynamic sub, Siena could have held on. I told my son that if Siena could build another 10pt lead with 8:00 to go, they would have a chance. They came close to that, but then gave up some second chance buckets. I think they were only up 3 at the 8 min mark.
