I'm sure there are plenty of intelligent, hard-working people who work for the NCAA.
Unfortunately, they're surrounded by complete weasels.

NCAA full of incompetent lawyers.

If they worked one real hard week, they'd probably have nothing to do the rest of the year.

They probably pull down good money working in Indianapolis so no incentive to rock the boat either.

In a world that is recognizing they've over-valued most lawyers, the NCAA must feel like an oasis.

The good news is the world creates friction, and we're getting it from the Conference Commissioners.

I'm sure the dozens of athletes who were also kept from playing by idiotic NCAA rules, but did not become a cause célèbre, are totally psyched right now.

Sadly with the all volunteer military we have organizations overrun with folks (even well meaning) who have no clue about the military. Anyone who spent even one tour on Active Duty would've realized how stupid the initial ruling was. They finally got it right.

So many people have recently left the NCAA for jobs at colleges (UConn, UK and Oregon) that they have to be suffering right now. It's a shame that it took a public shaming for them to make the right call.

This is why another division/level is needed. Half the rules seem to be about closing loopholes and they end up punishing people like this walk-on or some Olympic sport kid. Meanwhile Cam Newton's Dad shops him to the highest bidder and nothing happens...makes no sense.
