UConn did not make threes, and eventually Michigan's inside game wore them down. Foul trouble, obviously, disrupted UConn's offense, and their defense had them up by a handful of points with about 7 minutes or so left in the first half. UConn stopped scoring, and lost the lead as they approached the half.

They had some gritty kids on that team. I really liked that kid Mullins. He didn't have a great shooting game, but you really like to have kids like that on your team.

I couldn't get over Michigan's size advantage at pretty much every position on the floor. The Michigan press kept UConn from ever getting into their offense very smoothly, and the UConn PG got into early foul trouble.

If that was Andre Hawkins it would have been a foul.🤭 Some of us still remember the call vs. BC on the sideline. That was was used in officiating training for a clear charge call, not a block like Froggy Papara called.
I already had my beer open to celebrate the win.

Can you really "shock the world" if you're a 6.5 point favorite?
If the Michigan player that got the last rebound would have held onto it and got fouled instead of throwing the ball to the other end of the court, Michigan would have covered with a made free throw.

Michigan was 2/15 from 3, UConn was 9/33. Crazy first sentence

UConn was the better and tougher team tonight. But I couldn’t take another UConn natty right now. Portal opens in less than 40 minutes!
UConn was better ? They were dominated by Michigan inside on the defensive end.

I'll bet they made almost all of those in the first 10 minutes, when they got the lead.
They had a hell of a time running their offense against Michigan.
