NCAA not renewing contract with EA Sports

I can just see the schools turning down the ability to be in the game now that the NCAA isnt a part of it. Can you imagine them making the game with teams such as the Syracuse oranges?

Could be horrific news for the game going forwards...

EA Sports will still have college football video game beyond 2014, just won't be affiliated w/NCAA

This makes sense. Sure the NCAA won't be associated with the game anymore, but EA still has licenses from the schools, conferences, bowls, and BCS/CFB Playoff. This is probably insignificant news for the game itself, but the bigger news is this shows that the NCAA feels its legal situation is precarious with respect to the O'Bannon case (despite statements claiming otherwise).
