NCAA Second Round Games Thread for Sun Mar 22

Refs gonna keep Florida close by sending them to the line every possession.

Kansas wasted 2 of their 4 bonus fouls. The first one didn't even kill any of the time.
That could have cost them the game.

Team should have been able to execute 3 bonus fouls and killed time. And then they could have played that last drive without worrying about fouling on the floor if it happened.
Agree. Both teams struggled at the end. Pitino rightly so lit into the here for walking it up and waiting to be fouled.
St Johns vs Duke will be first to 60.

St johns and maybe UConn may be the only non power 4 teams in the sweet 16 and right now only one team above a 6 seed should make for some epic sweet 16 games. The games have been good so far

Iowa close to Florida, but Florida has been so much better since the 10 minute mark.
The quality of offensive looks are far better for Florida. Iowa is taking a lot of contested / step back 3's, and they did hit a few.

So during the live play, refs make call on best judgement / most likely.
But challenge has to be 100% conclusive.

To me challenges should be based on most likely (doesn't need to be 100% conclusive). But that is the way in pretty much every sport.

Terrible possession by Florida in the last minute.
Iowa with a chance to take the lead.

Golden wasted a timeout off the Florida made free throw.

Iowa brought in a big purely to rebound on the FT if needed, and he was going to come out make or miss, He should have had Iowa make the TO call, but he probably never even thought of the fact that Iowa was going to call one.

Wowww! There's all the evidence you need for a head coaching change succes story in 1 year. McCollum moving from Drake last year to Iowa, Sweet 16 in year one.

The time is now for Syracuse and Gmac. Need to be good next year, no excuses!!!

Once Florida took the lead 65-61, I was sure this game was over.
Florida was so much better for that 6-7 minute stretch.

But they let them hang around, and stopped executing on offensive.

Exactly how I felt. I was in "Well at least it was a good effort" mode.
