Duke in the 2026 NCAA Tournament through 3 rounds

First Round: 71-65 win over Siena

Free throws: Duke 21, Siena 6

Second Round: 81-58 win over TCU

Free throws: Duke 23, TCU 10

Sweet Sixteen: 80-75 win over St. John’s

Free throws: Duke 24, St. John’s 8
What does this mean? I see Duke players have great skills. The opponents can do nothing but foul.

I hate Oats ever since he let an accessory to a murder play, I'm surprised he didn't let Mr. 2 and a half pounds of pot for myself play.

It hasn’t been close for 15 years.

I live in CT and I guess I hate them. But I also kinda don’t. We’re just not in their league. It’s depressing.

They play so well as a team.

Would be nice to watch if it wasn't UConn

They have a commitment to being an elite program. If it was SU we’d have let Ollie coach another 5 years and wreck the program. And people would have spent the 5 years arguing “he won a title, did he forget how to coach?!”

There’s just no comparison.

Nah. They won their third title in 2011. After that it was clear they were a level above us. And the distance has only gotten larger.

I mean they had a great run that year. We were an AO injury, dumb self reporting and a crappy call vs Michigan away from 3 legit shots at a title surrounding that 2011 run. Then UConn went through an ugly reset after the Ollie title run that copied the 2011 run.

We didn’t come down off being level programs until the probation year unless you are saying the regular season doesn’t matter.

H2H we were 5-2 vs them from 09-10 through 12-13 with the move to the ACC the following year.

Also they had four straight losing years before Hurley finally turned things around during the same period we had the 2016 ff run through the real beginning of being a bubble team at best year in year out. At that time their program looked about a forever has been until then it flipped back around.

I was rooting for St John's, but Duke matched their intensity after the big run. Johnies really did foul a lot. They took a bunch of bad 3s too.

On the plus side Ghost , Mashburn looks like he had some help tonight getting dressed!

The thing that's crazy is that they were the laughing stock of the Big East in the 80s with Dom Perno as their coach. They had 3 decent players in the 80s, Earl Kelley, Corny Thompson and Chuck Aleksinas, that was it. UConn, Providence and Seton Hall battled it out to stay out of last place in the conference. Providence only got good when Pitino came around in the mid-80s.
