interesting nugget on the Westwood One broadcast. Scheyer is trying to win a NC as a player and coach. The guy did not list the others. Without looking it up, I am guessing Bobby Knight, Kevin Ollie and John Wooden (I think he won a Helms Championship in the 1920s with Purdue, the equivalent then of a NC). Anybody got any other guesses? Gerry could do it!

You can often tell when Raftery is pulling for a team as he will frequently make suggestions about what they need to do to win. He's coaching the Dookies up pretty good tonight.
I hate Duke but I hate that slimy, sleazeball Pitino more. Raf is a cyborg, he sounds the same today as he did in the 80s, 90s, 2000s.

Was thinking Larry Brown maybe (UNC and wasn't he Kansas '88 coach).

Duke gets every call. Boozer steps on the other guys shoe and they call a block. Guy goes straight up earlier in game, misses layup and they call foul. It’s insane. Cmon Pat Driscoll !

Even Maliq's shooting foul was crap. The St Johns dude was just short. Lol He was in position and jumping straight up. Brown was jumping from an angle. That's a play on - not two more foul shots for Duke because Brown falls down.

All the shooting fouls is a huge diff.

Bobby Knight: Won as a player in 1960 (at Ohio St) and as coach 3 times (at Indiana)

Joe B. Hall: Won as a player in 1949 (at Kentucky) and as coach in 1978 (at Kentucky).

John Wooden: Won as a player in 1932 (at Purdue) and as coach 10 times (at UCLA).

UConn didn't win a natty until 1999, after Ollie had graduated.

Let's make sure that doesn't happen but the ref's will try their best to ensure it happens.
