NCAA Tourney Round 1, Day 1 Thread

The Hall now 7-18 at the line. Just complete let down for them after winning in MSG

I had Zags, Wichita St, and Prov. Needed 'em, called a few on the other side that didn't quite fly ...

Sorcery.

The most known sorcerer of our time: (oddly, I was listening to this song[not the live version though] when I read your post)

But if you want honesty, for me personally it's more of a "Goodbye to Romance" that allowed that perfection.

"Goodbye To Romance" was Ozzy's goodbye to Sabbath. Of course, like was usual, Ozzy relied on someone else to write the lyrics (in this case, Bob Daisley, whom Sharon screwed out of royalties). Ozzy probably came up with the melody line...that was Ozzy's usual songwriting contribution.

I just listened to it after Mr Crowley, and it makes more sense to hear someone else wrote the lyrics to it, because they sounded far too sad to be autobiographical to Ozz. I mean you probably know more about what Ozzy was going through, so if you listen to the verses, do you think he was anywhere near that bad? It sounds more like something some of us average folks could relate to, which makes it good songwriting. , it made me want to drink more(and ive been going surprisingly slow tonight due to this site which really threw off my plans...and i couldnt even get Bees to get me the beer mug hoisting/headbanging emoticon, which would have been a nice consolation prize). Is Blizzard of Ozz your favorite post-Sabbath album, Iommi? Or did you get ticked off when Ozzy found Randy Rhoads before his epicly tragic death? Did you pay the pilot? Just kidding, I'm drinking. Such a loss for humanity, although he was allegedly looking to leave Ozzy also, and go into classical music, from what I've read.

I didn't think there was anything here I could read that would make me feel bad about FGCU shocking the world, but, well, here we are.
Every team has its story and every team's fans have their stories. Luckily, Carolina came roaring back and Chapel Hill Bill lives on! I have picked them to go all the way because it would be such a nice thing for him at the end of his days.

I had thought UNC would have trouble yesterday. I don't think they make it out of the East. Marcus Paige makes Trevor Cooney look like Klay Thompson the way hes shooting this year.

It's the end of the world as we know it

I guess I'm missing some kind of sarcasm or inside joke here, but those song lyrics that start with Little Rock are from Billy Joel, not REM

And I feel fine.

I did earlier, lol, a bit hungover now...but if you werent joking, I think that was actually Billy Joel's version of that song, called "we didnt start the fire". ;) Of course i didnt read the whole thread so I may have missed somehing. One of the local stations, at the time of that song, wrote a parody called "Orangemen Are On Fire" which I may still have on VHS somewhere, but would be grateful if some of the powerful chest pumpers on here would use their powers for good and produce. Old school Big East teams and the players of the time like Billy Owens were in the lyrics.

I may have to leave the keyboard for awhile, I'm not feeling as loving as usual...I'm likely very dehydrated and lack of sleepated. I'm like a player taking myself out of a game, like Cooney obviously must have last game. ;)

I feel even more sick now, after reading that post, than I should after St Patrick's day. SMH

Sorry, Captain! I won't mention it again. This is the way of life, though, and we can't live forever. Bill has incredibly dark humor. Here's a poem he wrote back when he was in his 4o's:

I saw a dog the other day
A gory roadside mess
Does this same fate await us, too?
We wonder and we guess.

We wonder and we guess, my friends
We wonder and we guess
We hope there's something more to us
Thank just a roadside mess.

And yet that dog had heart and brain
And once a child did save
And yet he lies in mangled proof
Than none do leave the grave.

We wonder and we guess, my friends
We wonder and we guess
We hope there's something more to us
Than just a roadside mess.

A few weeks ago he said to me, "I now know with certainty that the two most important things in life are love and being kind to people."

Now that is dark. Well, not terribly dark, but for humor, definitely dark! But your ending sounds redeeming...it makes him sound more like Jesus... so it's pretty common and not going to make me like UNC! What if The Cuse(tm) had to play UNC? Would you want Bill to be happy then? Hmmm? What is it now!?!? :) (i think im feeling better, thanks to Dave85 and anyone who may have prayed. allnighter only an hour from completion!)

I'd give you 10 likes if I could! I think you may be my new favorite poster! ...wait though, the one whole line I currently remember is "Orangemen go all the way!!" at the end(yeah, it was wishful thinking, but didn't we all believe it back then G? ;) )

Edit: Georgetown Hoyas blown away, Orangemen go all the way!! Man, if these people could hear it, I think they'd get our excitement!! I wish there was a high 5 emoticon, buddy!!

Well I did stop maybe a couple hours ago. I never got around to drinking the gatorade I bought for such, and figure I may as well start again now. Still morning here. I'd like to think I made some decent contributions to the board during that time, but I kind of wore down before I got a very recent second wind that kicked in around the time I harshly scolded BBallBeadle for rooting for UNC over the underdog. I felt the fire and brimstone and started coming back to life like the Pink Floyd song of the same title from The Division Bell. I sense now that it's gonna take more. Inspire me G! I'm kinda fading again.

Edit: you kinda inspired me to think that maybe we could have a drinking tournament. Maybe myself and Marsh and some others could be the top seeds. ;)

Edit 2: Maybe we could trash talk each other like UFC fighters if you held a press conference for us? Maybe I could do my best to Boeheim a couple of you when you ask questions.

LGO! Mich St. next, yikes...

I took today and Sunday off work:)

I would want Syracuse to pound them into oblivion! They already beat us twice this year!
