ND opens at -13

That line seems at least three points light. It is true, as others have mentioned, that ND hasn't played anybody tough but neither has SU. ND's team speed is significantly greater than SU's and the coaching and QB match-ups are heavily in ND's favor. Plus they have had two weeks to prepare.

When a line smells funky, run towards the smell. Cuse keeps this one close.

when did ND team speed become so great? it didnt seem to be better than Purdue or Mich who both are slow. And its not better at the skill spots than maryland..

Like most things ND - mythology and legend.

only thing ND has over MD is a better runner and passing qb

for the record does is this venue count as home game or neutral sight ?

What exactly does that mean...exactly?
It means if you bet $100 on SU to win outright you'd win $444. I was just making a joke about about the 44 part. And it's actually down to about +370 now

690 I thought you would like this. Remember how I said I won 5k on a 9 team parlay. This guy tripled my winnings.

ND has similar speed as MD and SU had difficulty coping with that. Most importantly is the speed and athleticism at the QB spot. Golson is one of the best in the country. JMO but I think SU is a five win team this year and does not have nearly the talent that ND has. I also think the matchup between SU 's OC and ND's DC is a mismatch.

they played a rice team that is giving up 6 yds a carry ,500 yds a game , and lost to old dominion.
they beat mich, even game but mich had 4 To's
they beat purdue by less then CMU

but they are winning the turnover battle by a huge amount, and Golson is tough to tackle. the RB avg 3.5 a carry and they have a couple long td passes off scramble plays.

Hey guys just looking for some good football discussion. I can answer any questions if you have any.

The ND Michigan game was not even at all. Michigan stacked the box vs ND and their goal was to force Golson to throw. Big mistake, even though Golson is athletic and can run, he is a QB in even sense of the word. Great arm strength, makes his reads, What is scary is that the 3 games this year were his first action since the Alabama blow out in the NC game. With him still growing and 99% of the team back next year, and much more manageable schedule ND is a playoff contender in 2015.

As for Michigan, yes ND was +4 in the turnovers, but the game was 21-0 at half with zero turnovers by michigan. They also never reached the redzone once in that game. ND had great field position most of the night and still kept a 50-50 ratio of run pass.

Yes ND was not sharp against Purdue. But that is an intense instate rivalry and the last time it was being played for 5 years. Add in all the issues and injuries ND had, they missed a FG, and 1 of Purdue's TD drives was only 26 yard drive, ND shut out Purdue in the second half and still won by 16.

I don't bet Cuse games. For those who love money more than team lay the points. I fear this will be a national TV curb stomping.

Michigan stacks the box to run stop, we stack the box to run blitz. I am pretty sure he hasn't seen anything to this point like what we do on defense.

Maryland has 70 yards rushing and their QB was sacked 4 0r 5 times. I am hearing your O Line is doing some shuffling as well.

ND's OLine is completely shifted around from the previous 3 games. Here was the line up,
LT Stanley
LG Hanratty
C Martin
RG Lombard/Hegarty
RT Elmer

ND was focused on getting more push inside and changed the lineup to this,

LT Stanley
LG Martin (Curious if he will actually start or Hanratty will)
C Hegarty
RG Elmer
RT Lombard

The important thing is that no one is playing "out of position." Elmer started 5 games at RG last year, Lombard was the 2012's starting RT for 13 games, Hegarty is a center and started last year vs BYU, Stanford, and did well. Martin cross trained at guard before sticking with Center. However some have speculated that he may still be injured from last year.

This line is set to push betting onto ND. Less than 2 TD's seems like easy money , right. That line says to me that it is going to be a tight game. That dog is barking.

Spread is down to -9. What does that mean? Well in my opinion (and heart) people know that we will run the ball. Our best group on this team is our offensive line along with a nice group of running backs (and QB). Were gonna pound the ball, eat some clock, and keep the game close. Keep it close, protect the big play on defense, and this will be a 4th quarter game. GO ORANGE

That means the Orange are going to win this game , that means the Orange are going to win this game.

Moneyline is down to +300 which statistically converts to Syracuse having a 25% chance to win this game. ba-bam!

I once had a horse that started on the morning line at 20-1, the horse was not running well and was in versus stiff competition. Horse gets bet down to 4-1 and I am thinking to myself who the is betting on this damn horse? It certainly wasn't me, horse runs 7 out of 9. Never made any freaking sense to me.

Horse's name was Otto's revenge, lets hope we make out better than old Otto did. He's on some farm now in Victor eating grass and being as lazy as he was as a race horse

I think we're going to see a huge push towards ND in the next 48 hours
