Need someone to fill me in

I've read that the "play in" games are on Thursday. I assume the winners will play again on Saturday. Then where do they go after that, Monday? I recall the "play in" games taking place earlier in the week and then the tournament would go to the usual Thursday/Saturday and Friday/Monday. What gives???? Appreciate it.
