Comments: - Ugly Ball: As a rule of thumb, A starter should have 10NP per 40 minutes and our starting line-up all played at least 34 minutes. Oshae Brissett was the only player to have 10NP. The fact that he had 22 gave a shot at winning the game. We’re going to have to get contributions from more than one guy to advance any farther. - Bobby Hurley mentions this stat: We had 15 points off turnovers to their 4, (after 2 vs. 13 against UNC). Both teams had the same number of turnovers, (11). SU also had the edge in second chance points, giving us 24 points in unsettled situations to their 9. - They had a big edge in their initial sets: 46 first chance points to 32 for us. - These last two stats cancelled each other out, leaving the game to be won by the number of times we got to the line, (23 to their ten). Both teams were awful from there, (a total of 16 made in 33 attempts) but our greater number of opportunities won the game. - In our first 30 games we led in three point field goal percentage 11 times. Since then we’ve led 4 times in a row. - This was the first game we’ve led in fast break points since the second wake Forest game. We’d lost that stat 8 times in a row. - Our bench hasn’t scored a point since Boston College, 5 games ago. We have 28 bench points in our last 13 games, in all of which we’ve lost that stat. You have to go to Sidibie’s game against Pitt to find a game in which our bench outscored the other team’s.
