Netflix been making big moves lately, capitalizing on cord-cutters.

"The goal is to become HBO faster than HBO can become us"

Their first ever original series w/Kevin Spacey premiers tomorrow and looks pretty good, for a poli-drama (and was given a whopping $100 million budget). Will definitely watch it and give a review.

the biggest news is that they have produced a mini season of Arrested Development, possibly as a prelude to an AD movie

I read what I assume was a Netflix press release recently that used the term, "cord cutters" in every other sentence. I had never heard the term before, then see it a dozen times in the same article. I think someone in marketing at Netflix is working over time.
