I cant imagine him being here by the time this kid is in school. If he is, then its looks like a hell of a bargaining chip for another head gig.

i doubt he ever sees a D1 college floor, he’s going to get way too tall and his body won’t stand up to the demands of basketball

Starting to wonder if he's also interim back-up plan if things go full-on dumpster fire for Red this year or next.

Smart move to have an experienced HC on the staff either way.

Have no idea how he's helping Red or their working relationship, howev.

Ask Red? I’m at a point where I think he could make this specific team a bit better if he was the interim head coach right now.

What does anyone on that coaching staff do? Including the head coach?

Straughn was tabbed as a top-flight recruiter - our recruiting of freshmen has been fine (though I would argue nobody cares about that much unless you get the Cooper Flagg types).

Other than that, Griffin has been on staff for nearly a decade - probably the worst collective stretch of Syracuse basketball in program history.
