New Basketball Jerseys?

Isn't it time Nike rolled out a new basketball jersey for us? Personally I'd like them to to back to the cursive "Syracuse" of the days of the Pearl.

I want to add to my wardrobe. I have a Melo jersey, circa 03' and a GMac #3 jersey circa 06'.

It's time for a new jersey. When might we anticipate a new design coming out? Those in the know?

It's time for a change. Football teams seem to get new jerseys every year or two. We've had these for what, 6 years?

I vote for the removal of "platinum" and much more navy blue incorporation into the color scheme. I'm also in favor of the alternating color blocks all the way down the side of the uniform (not just the shorts).

The cursive writing would be awesome but I don't think it will gel with the new block 'S'

Change for the sake of change is pointless. It's a pure money grab. Our uniforms are just fine if you ask me.

Our uni's are as sick as they have ever been. Those old jersey's are meant to be classics...I myself have the orange Melo and the 06' orange G-mac, plus a blue Triche one.

How can any 'Cuse fan not love these bad boys? Best jerseys/shorts in all of college basketball. Trying to but my bias aside...they are sick!

I am pretty sure we have had theses jerseys since Johnny Flynn's freshmen year. These are replicas from the late 70's early 80's correct? This is the seventh year we have had them. Honestly I think the away unis are awesome.

I really like the current road orange jerseys and would happy with the orange ones as home jerseys and <gulp> the blue version of them as road jerseys.

Midway through the 09-10 season they slightly modified the jerseys that the Flynn teams wore, they put in the orange trim around the collar for the home jerseys, blue for the away jerseys. Plus they changes the shorts a bit, put 'CUSE around the waistline. And on the back of the jersey they put that fade of the campus into it. Just these little changes made them look even more cool.

I wouldn't mind seeing the blues a few times each year. I've heard before that Boeheim doesn't like wearing them. I'll never forget when they wore them Jonny and Donte's freshman year at ND and got rocked.

I like the currant stuff well enough just not the duct tape grey numbers. Were is duct tape grey in our color scheme?

THIS. Just like the Dallas Cowboys wear Blue at home (it's their primary color), so should WE! Orange should be our home color. I don't know why on earth it's white.

And yes, I know in almost every sport, the home team wears "white" or light colored uniforms.

The Cowboys wear white at home...in fact back in the day the blues were viewed as bad luck, so when they traveled teams sometimes wore white so the Boys could wear those ugly blues.

I'll never forget when they wore them in 1988 against Kentucky, and got rocked.

We're not due to get rocked in blue uniforms again until 2028.

Yeah, as Bayside said, the Cowboys wear white at home. They are unusual in the NFL in that they are the only team that regularly wears white at home. Every other NFL team wears white on the road. Hell, every other football team in general wears white on the road. Football is the one sport in which the "dark" color is work at home almost exclusively.

As everyone knows, the original colors for Syracuse University athletics were duct tape grey and midnight blue, the colors of the moonless night.

Nike is a conservative, old school company. God bless them for returning us to our true roots.

The current ones (March 2007 through now, with the orange modification from mid-2010) are ugly and derivative.

It'd be nice if we had uniforms that incorporated more blue and that weren't virtually identical to those worn by Florida, Ohio State, and dozens of other schools. There's no reason why SU can't have a simple and somewhat unique design.

Our current jerseys are trash. Although our best run of success recently has come with those jerseys. A return to the traditional look would be nice, or any change would be nice since we are starting a NEW CHAPTER IN THE ACC. A change is required.
