Off topic, but When is the last time we won a game out west? Closest thing I can think of is Missou, and they're in the mid west. Last thing I can think of is Fiesta Bowl.
We'd all like some "west coast action"I'd kill for some West Coast action
The ACC entered into an agreement with the Holiday Bowl, based in San Diego, effective this coming season.I know the staff has been reaching out to players on the west coast for recruiting. Either a bowl or scheduling UCLA, unlv (raider stadium), Arizona or San Diego state. I’d even settle for any of the Texas schools.
Was going to say what a great job they did thinking out of the box for that one. Should have made it a reincarnation of the Freedom Bowl since that is basically what it will be with all the WAC teams now being the Mountain West.Creative name
Fiesta Bowl vs Colorado in 1992.
Yes, I remember that. Sometimes when you have a new announcer, it can be somewhat endearing to hear them struggle. But not with Todd. He combined high levels of incompetence and arrogance to produce a special blend of awfulness for that game. I had always disliked him before that game. Wasn’t sure why.Too soon, jerk. I still remember the name Kirby Dar Dar.
Worst of all was having to hear ex-Raider TE Todd Christensen as color commentator for that game. He was new to broadcasting and was horrid. Got better in the 2000s up until he died, but that night it was salt in the wound and sand in the eyes having to hear him.

Holiday Bowl would be a fantastic bowl trip, count me in.The ACC entered into an agreement with the Holiday Bowl, based in San Diego, effective this coming season.
Holiday Bowl gets ACC to come out to the West Coast
It’s been nearly 30 years since any of the teams currently in the Atlantic Coast Conference played in San Diego. The San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl announced Thursday that the game…www.sandiegouniontribune.com
The ACC still has an agreement with the Sun Bowl in El Paso and teams that make the playoffs could be sent to the Rose or Fiesta Bowls.
