I had the chance to catch the Lawrenceville vs. Calvert Hall game yesterday, and it was a really entertaining matchup. The game went into overtime, with Calvert Hall pulling out a 7-6 victory. Rawson stood out on the field—he consistently got separation from his defender and freed up his hands. He scored a beautiful goal from about 10 yards out and took the initiative to kick off the offense at the start of OT, which was awesome to see. I was sitting with some Lawrenceville parents, and they couldn’t stop raving about Rawson and Peck, both as players and as people—high praise all around.
I didn’t have the team rosters, but both squads were littered with top-tier talent. One name that consistently caught my eye was Jermaine Anderson from Calvert Hall—he’s going to be a force in the ACC for years to come.
