New 'Cuse: Franklin Howard

It's low-key on campus in the summer ... lifting at 6AM, a class or two, some pickup in the evenings. But 10 or 12 weeks from now, practice will start and they'll find out what it's like to have their ch*t swatted out of the gym when they drive to the rim. I'm not sure how good we'll be this year, especially with our Center situation. But this class looks solid across the board -- big guards and long, athletic forwards. They're going to be locked and cocked by the time Battle arrives and Chukwu assumes absolute control of the paint.

Can you imagine what the team will be like if TR doesn't go NBA and our 4 new frosh have a year under their belts. The 2016-17 season is going to be amazing!

No doubt -- we'll be Loaded, IF the players on roster (and those scheduled to come in) remain eligible. That means:

1- TR stays for his senior year (I think he has NBA athleticism. But at 6-7/6-8 205 he'd be an undersized 3. Without a jump shot, unless he's one of the best defenders in his draft class, I don't see his draft value);

2- DC2 stays. He'll be a 5th senior, having overcome lots of injuries. He'll have his degree after this year. So this one's 50/50. If he has a decent year this year and his legs hold out, maybe he'd like to stick around for a FF caliber 2016 squad. If that happens, we'd have elite depth at the 5. Even without him, we'll have decent size on the front line with Diagne/Lydon/TR helping and senior Obokoh playing behind Chukwu.

I think DC2 is a question mark until proven otherwise. It's tough break for the kid but life never turns out like I've planned it.

It doesn't. And I think DC2 being around for '16 is impossible to call right now. As far as how we all "plan" things (for SU athletes), this is a funny piece:

“I just can’t believe he’d be so selfish,” said Bradley in a prepared statement. “All of that time and energy I spent posting great things about him on message boards, and this is the thanks I get? It’s like he didn’t even take my reaction and efforts into account.”

How can you not laugh at this????? This guy has psychological issues. The player leaving is not the issue. Obviously he has abandonment issues. Maybe from his childhood or first wife. You know what they say, "you only criticize and hate in other people what you do not like about your own character."

It's fiction Dave. Well written and crazy but in today's internet world its could be believable.

As you said, today, it certainly could have been real!
