Hi everyone, I wanted to put a plug in for a new cuse site through SI.com. Well its not new but has a new writer. Mike McAllister from 247 moved to SI. It’s completely free and worth the read for his articles.
Sports Illustrated Syracuse Orange News, Analysis and More
Congrats to Mike and Josh. I think they will do well working in front of a much bigger audience.

With the PS de-emphasizing football coverage, this is great news for SU football fans.

His "writing for SI" is because the SI brand has been bastardized and is moving into the fan sites model that TNIAAM leads.

I love mike. I may cut my subscription to 742 depending on the new writer

I know that’s gonna be rough! Now you can get your “insider” info there for free!
At least we know you still support your "dear leader". Don't you have some edits to make on twitter?

It must be tough for someone who makes his living (I assume) on insider info to get scooped by others. It also must be tough to write for a living and still not be able to string a paragraph together or use proper grammar and spelling. But let's be real, it's not like Mike was getting the insider info anyways, Dohn & Trieu did all the work for him. Can't believe he got away with writing 2/3 articles at most a week.

Why are you so angry with him?

I think the issue is that there isn't enough interest and fan money to keep multiple people employed covering it. I think fan sites are the uber of journalism. It has to be a side gig, can't see how its possible to make a living at it.

I don’t think Mike was a full time writer there but I may be wrong. Dohn says they plan to have a full time writer replace him
