most 8/9 teams are gonna be slow it down type of teams, not too many of those teams are uptempo offensive juggernauts.

Really? Though I generally agree that 8/9's may not be offensive juggernauts, I'm not convinced that necessarily means they're slow it down type teams either. It would be interesting pulling up some data on it to see if statistically there's any substance to that.

I was thining of this the other day when Marsh & I were discussing McDermott in one thread - I bet they line up UNC to play Creighton so you have the Barnes vs. McDermott storyline.

I sometimes think when you hear how long the committee takes picking teams, that they don't spend a lot of time bracketing and/or seeding them. Plus there are a lot of bracketing procedures that come into play.

Oh there is no doubt that Creighton will get some type of matchup like that to put him up against a big time team or player.

Virginia is exactly the type of team we don't want any part of in the Tournament.

Teams that play hard-nosed, in your face, disciplined man-to-man defense are the teams that have given us fits over the last decade - Vermont, A&M, Butler...it doesn't matter if they don't score a lot, they have a chance when they shut down SU's offense.

2/3's of that comparison came when we were depleted/run down......hopefully that does not factor in for this team
