never understood why they didnt have players establish position before.. by that same token BBall players go out of bounds all the time and never get called for that rule.

In hoops, they have to establish themselves inbounds before they touch the ball. If they don't, they certainly get called for it.

its not only that.. in bball you cant run off the court unless forced out by a play. so for instance when you run a double screen down low and a player runs around it by running outside the baseline, thats not a valid play. when cj used to guard the baseline pass by standing out of bounds thats not a valid play

There were two rules that I thought were already in effect. I always thought someone had to be established inbounds before they could possess the ball, and I always thought defensive penalties were tacked on at the end of a passing play, unless it was pass interference where they just took which ever option was better.
