New transfer rule eliminates permission-to-contact process

I like both sets of protections, including the one making tampering a level 2 violation.

NCAA got one right for a change.

Awesome now a guy like Taurean Thompson can just dual enroll, doesn't even have to tell JB he's not coming back.

Ok, when you read the actual article on the change, it does sound positive.

but can congressmen actively recruit on the legislation floor while legislation is in process?

So can we now get all the Duke transfers unhappy with their PT?
As I understand the change, individual conferences still retain the ability to impose their own restrictions WRT intra-conference transfers. Presumably, a player may transfer anywhere he chooses, but a conference may continue to require a second year of sitting for transfers between conference members. This would exclude graduate transfers. Bottom line: Duke transfers will continue to go elsewhere.
