What the ACC should do is do a grant of rights deal NOW. The Big 12 just announced they've agreed that any team leaving grants the conference their TV rights for 13 years... that stabalizes a conference instantly. Do that and the only expansion issues are if you want new schools in without any fear of departures. With the Big 12 grant of rights set up I wouldn't discount FSU and CU possibly leaving which would be a disaster.

UL would be an excellent fit with WVU in the Big 12.

They are an excellent fit with Cin, Memphis, USF, UCF, Temple, Houston, Boise in the Big East.

I certainly could be wrong, but the idea that UL is the key to whatever FSU is thinking is impossible to believe.

I believe the OP was talking about making sure FSU/Clemson stay and letting them pick the next 2 schools as ND seems to be out of the equation.
