NFL Thread - 2020

Both games are better than Dallas/San Fran, but we all know the networks will never move a Cowboy game off national television.

True. Both games look better than DAL/SF.

But more people are likely to tune in to hate the Cowboys than the Browns/Jints combined.

NE is the only franchise that rivals Dallas for national hatred. But a lot of that has fractured now that TB is in TB.

Yeah, we might be looking for a qb once again, this kid isn't intelligent enough. Crazy thing is we can't even watch here in Denver tonight because Directv is in a channel dispute with our local station. Watching on the Spanish channel and listening on the radio.

Chiefs are winning but it doesn’t feel like it. But it also feels like we’re about 6 total inches from an absolute blowout

Please don’t win 9 games New England.
If KC beats Miami
Colts lose to Pittsburgh
The Patriots will control their own destiny.
They had no business beating the Cardinals so that counters their loss to Denver at home.

Coaching matters I truly believe if you gave Belichick the Chargers roster yesterday and Lynn the Patriots roster the score is reverse.

With that said Lynn deserves another job since Adam Gase had a similar resume and got a second job.

Can Cleveland catch Pittsburgh?
Pittsburgh has Buffalo, Indy and Cleveland left.

The NFC is interesting as well.
New Orleans needs GB to lose one game so they don’t have to beat KC.
Seattle’s schedule favors them to win the West but don’t count out LA.

Vikings vs. Cardinals vs. Niners for the 7 seed. Minnesota plays Tampa and NO.
Crazy but if Brady loses to Minny and one game to Atlanta they could finish close to NE record wise and NE has the harder schedule.

If the Giants win one more game before Dallas they will be safely the division champions.

Ya wonder if Chargers team morale was crushed last week against BUF.

Lynn did some horrific game management stuff last week that had to have the LAC locker room hosting a bunch secret “wt.. convos” all week.

If they were crushed by his poor game management last week ...how were they inflated to begin with given years of this crap ?

how can NE control their own destiny?

Bills beat beat 49rs /pitt/den 11 wins
miami beats kc raiders bills 11 wins

colts win 3 11 wins
titans win 3 11 wins
clev beats ravens jets pitt 11 wins

Pats win out, 10 wins, but if they win 3 on the road then they have done well

Man the life of Jets fans...

"Instead of protecting the end zone and the sidelines with a soft zone, Williams -- known for his aggressiveness -- called a Cover 0 blitz. That meant no deep help from a safety. He sent eight rushers at quarterback Derek Carr, leaving only three defenders in man-to-man coverage.

The play call was unprecedented in recent NFL history. According to research by ESPN Stats & Information, out of the 252 pass plays attempted under similar circumstances in the past 15 seasons, the Jets were the only defense to send more than six rushers.

Two of the three defensive backs left in coverage were rookies -- cornerbacks Bryce Hall and Lamar Jackson -- which made the call even more curious."

really only 252 of these plays in 15 yrs. thats about 20 a yr so 1 a week..

There’s a reason for that

its the moron Greg Williams. Mr Bounty gate somehow keeps getting work in the NFL and is the reason why Matt Rhule wouldn't take the job...because he was told el Grego was part of the deal...if he came...

Another example of a dingbat coach with too many G's in his name.

It's an epidemic.

BTW - that rookie CB (Lamar Jackson) sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders based on post game comments.

Having a good rookie qb would be a big inflation, I’d think.

A Hail Mary from about the 40 yard line with a few seconds left in the game down a few points. That makes sense that about one game a week would have those exact circumstances.

Las Vegas plays the Colts and dolphins.

The Browns are in.
The Titans are in as well.

Colts play Raiders and Steelers.

I think the Patriots at 10-6 will make the playoffs.
I really don’t want to make the playoffs.

Why not? It’s not like you have a chance at moving way up in the draft if you miss.

NFC is wide open so I wouldn’t mind being in that playoffs.
New Orleans is really the only all around team.
Green Bay’s defense doesn’t scare me.
The rest are beatable.

The AFC top teams are really good.
I can’t see winning more than 1 game.
Kansas City is bored right now. In the playoffs they will be a machine.
Realism wants me to have my team in 14-18 range in the draft so Kyle Trask is in play in the draft.

Lawrence-Fields-Wilson are top 10 guys now IMO.
Lance-Trask are guys in the middle of the first round. I don’t want to be in the playoffs so trading up won’t be that expensive. Maybe a 3rd and 5th.
Don’t want to be 20th and then have to spend a lot to get a QB.
Don’t want Mac Jones or Ian Book in 2nd or 3rd round.

Absolutely moronic. Look, I hate prevent D's as they allow teams to pick up chunk yards but that's a situation that actually warrants it, with like 1-2 plays left. Heck, I don't even mind rushing more than 3/4 which we usually see. But no safety help? Absolutely absurd.
