Nick Saban Hires Sixth OC in Eight Years

How many National championships has he won? Seems like it’d be silly to write an article about a coach having instability in his program when he’s won more championships than the amount of OC’s he’s replaced in 8 years.

Three in those eight years
Six in last fifteen

He is such a slacker

One in last five years

I read somewhere this week or heard it on the radio that 26 out of the 28 coordinators in the ACC have changed in the past two seasons. It’s not just at SU.

Has NDs offense been good or intricate? This seems like a downgrade from Sark and O'Brien.

Yeah but are they moving any rivalry games to baseball stadiums

Rees has been the ND fan boards' scapegoat for the last few years. Primarily for a perceived lack of offensive imagination. There's also been a REAL lack of team speed and uninspired QB play.

Seems like an underwhelming hire but we’ll see how it plays out. Apparently Rees is thought of pretty highly in football circles. Kelly wanted badly to take him to LSU so if Saban and Kelly both think highly then that’s notable.

The other piece is there’s a belief that Saban wants to move from their pass heavy offense of late to a more physical style. He thinks college defenses are smaller and designed to stop the spread so he wants to go back to bullying people and taking shots downfield instead of the spread ‘‘em out and dink and dunk.

It shows how reactionary fans can be. Just a year ago they were praying he didnt bolt for LSU. Saban obviously likes him. He sees the concepts and play calling that could be effective with the players he has at Bama.

And now the ND fans are concerned that Sam Hartman may follow Rees and transfer to Alabama. ;)
ND's #1 commit for 2024 is the 5th-ranked QB in the class. CJ Carr from Saline, MI. (Meaning, would it be bad form for me to suggest that we take that commitment with a grain of salt?) Rees was the lead recruiter.
Yes, he has a 'Bama offer.

I’m shocked Bama hired Rees. He has not been impressive in the eyes of most ND fans.

I won’t question anybody Saban hires. He has 7 national championships.

Most of those are blind, I mean their former coach killed a kid and they did nothing

In fairness, in the previous situation their eyes weren’t closed. They just turned the other way.
